This extremely difficult 14.217-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through the stunning mountainous area around Vrh Planje.

Starting at the parking area at the trailhead, you will begin your challenging journey. As you make your way along the trail, you will come across several points of interest. About 5.75 kilometers from the start, you will find the majestic peak of Tolminski Kuk, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Continuing on, at approximately 4.92 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the peak of Mali vrh, followed by Podrta gora, which is a bit off the trail. Further along, at 5.2 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Zeleni vrh.

As you trek through the rugged terrain, you will also pass by the saddle of Škrbina, offering a brief respite before continuing on your adventure. Along the way, you'll find informational points and benches to rest and learn more about the area.

Towards the end of the hike, at approximately 6.8 kilometers from the start, you will reach the summit of Vrh Planje, where you can revel in the accomplishment of conquering this challenging route.

With an elevation gain of 1381 meters and a duration of about 6 hours and 45 minutes, this hike is not for the faint of heart. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear. Check the weather forecast before embarking on this journey to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
