This challenging out-and-back hiking route on SR465 covers a total distance of 9.426 kilometers with an elevation gain of 348 meters. The estimated duration for this hike is around 3 hours. The trail begins in a scenic area surrounded by nature.
As you start the hike, you will come across a wayside shrine located just 14.5 meters from the trail. This historic site offers a glimpse into the local culture and is a perfect spot for a quick stop. Further along the trail, at the beginning of your journey, there is a parking area just 9.6 meters from the trailhead for your convenience.
Midway through the hike, at a distance of 4.71 kilometers from the start, you will encounter a beautiful waterfall. Take a moment to appreciate the natural beauty and perhaps take some photos. Around the 4.36-kilometer mark, there is an information point where you can learn more about the area and its landmarks.
At around 1.9 kilometers from the start, you will find another information point, followed by a picnic site located 340 meters from the trail. This is a great place to rest and refuel before continuing your journey.
As you make your way back, about 270 meters from the start, there is another information point for any additional insights you may want. Close to the trailhead, at the 0.39-kilometer mark, there is a bench where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings.
