This challenging hiking route will take you to Black Crag, starting from the Wasdale Head area. The total distance of the hike is 8.67 kilometers with an elevation gain of 731 meters, so be prepared for a strenuous trek.

At the beginning of the trail, you will come across the Wasdale Head Campsite, a perfect spot for a rest if you decide to camp overnight. As you continue on, you will pass by the Wasdale Head Inn where you can grab a bite to eat or a refreshing drink.

Midway through the journey, you will encounter Wind Gap, a scenic saddle offering stunning views of the surrounding landscapes. Make sure to take a moment to appreciate the beauty of this natural wonder.

Near the end of the trail, you will reach Black Crag, a prominent peak known for its breathtaking vistas. This is the perfect spot to take a break and soak in the stunning scenery before heading back.

Along the way, you will also come across Ritson Force, a beautiful waterfall where you can cool off and refill your water bottle. Additionally, there are drinking water stations available to keep you hydrated throughout the hike.
