This hiking route takes you through the scenic area of Pillar in the Lake District. This 8.989 kilometer route with an elevation gain of 802 meters is considered difficult due to its length and elevation.
As you start the hike, you will come across the Wasdale Head Campsite where you can rest and refuel. Further along the trail, at 4.02 kilometers from the start, you will reach Wind Gap, a natural saddle that offers stunning views of the surroundings.
Continuing on, you will pass by Ritson Force, a beautiful waterfall located 0.65 kilometers from the start. Be sure to take a moment to admire the cascading waters.
Pillar Rock, a popular climbing spot, can be found at 4.49 kilometers from the start. For those interested in climbing, this is a great opportunity to test your skills. Nearby, you will also find Pillar, a peak that offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
