This challenging hiking route takes you through the stunning landscape of the Preiner Gscheid area. With a distance of 6.03 kilometers and an elevation gain of 879 meters, this trail offers a rewarding experience for hikers seeking a workout with beautiful views.
Starting at the parking area, you will begin your journey towards the Preiner Wand peak, which is approximately 2.65 kilometers from the start of the trail. While not directly on the trail, the Bachingerbründl spring is located just 1.88 kilometers away and is a refreshing spot to stop and rest. As you continue on, you will pass by the Luisenquelle spring at around 3.02 kilometers, offering another opportunity to refill your water bottle.
Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest, including informational markers such as Wasserwirtschaft at 0.04 kilometers, benches at 1.88 kilometers, and various cave entrances like Quartetthöhle at 2.65 kilometers.
The trail is an out-and-back route, so you will retrace your steps on the way back, allowing you to enjoy the sights from a different perspective.
