The Vilseralm hiking route is located in a scenic area with beautiful natural surroundings. This out-and-back trail offers a total distance of 4.145 kilometers with an elevation gain of 246 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for most skill levels.
As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area conveniently located at the trailhead. Shortly after beginning your trek, you will encounter a drinking water station where you can refill your water bottle for the hike ahead. Along the way, you will also pass by the Alpstrudelfall waterfall, adding a refreshing and picturesque stop to your hike.
For those interested in viewpoints, a scenic spot awaits you approximately 2.07 kilometers into the hike. This is a great place to pause, take in the surrounding landscape, and maybe even snap some photos.
As you continue on the trail, informational signs will provide you with interesting insights about the area, such as the Geo Lehrpfad and Vilser Alm. Benches and a wayside shrine offer opportunities for rest and contemplation along the hike. A shelter is also available midway through the trail, providing a place to rest or seek shelter if needed.
Towards the end of the hike, at approximately 1.71 kilometers from the start, you will come across a historic memorial dedicated to Anton Bernd Harlander, adding a touch of local history to your outdoor adventure.
