This hiking route will take you to the beautiful area of Papststein. The trail is 1.06 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 74 meters, making it super easy and suitable for all skill levels. The duration of the hike is approximately 25 minutes and it is an out-and-back route.

As you begin your journey, you will pass by the Waldparkplatz Gohrischstein parking area. Further along the trail, at around 0.46 kilometers, you will find the Große Hunskirche climbing spot and the Kleine Hunskirche peak, both offering stunning views but slightly off the main trail. At 0.53 kilometers, the Papststein peak awaits, with the Papst climbing spot located nearby at 0.42 kilometers.

Along the way, you will also encounter several viewpoints such as Hunskirchenblick, offering panoramic views of the surroundings. Be sure to take a break at the Berggaststätte Papststein restaurant at 0.48 kilometers for some refreshments.
