As you begin your journey, you'll come across the Hirschwäng-Alm wilderness hut, located 4.34 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to take a rest and enjoy the surrounding nature. Further along the trail at 5.8 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the Kuhkarjoch saddle, offering stunning panoramic views of the landscape.

At the midway point of the hike, around 6.09 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter the Kreuzkopf peak, a perfect place to capture some memorable photos. Additionally, there are boundary stones and a historical boundary stone to explore along the way, adding a touch of heritage to your adventure.

Be sure to stay hydrated as you trek through the challenging terrain, and don't forget to check the weather forecast before embarking on this journey. Parking facilities are available at the beginning and midway points of the trail for your convenience.

As you near the end of the hike, approximately 7.49 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the Altenberg peak, offering a final breathtaking view before completing the circular route. Take a moment to appreciate the beauty that surrounds you at the Aussicht viewpoint, located 0.66 kilometers from the start.
