Welcome to the Leichenweg hiking route!

The Leichenweg route is a circular trail that covers a distance of approximately 2.017 kilometers with an elevation gain of 69 meters. The trail is rated as Easy in terms of difficulty, making it suitable for hikers of all skill levels.

Starting off from the trailhead, you will first come across a parking area located right at the beginning of the route. As you continue on, you will pass by the Feuerlöschteich, a water feature located around 0.11 kilometers from the start, offering a tranquil spot to pause and take in the surroundings.

Around 0.02 kilometers from the beginning, you'll find the Pension & Gaststätte Waitzdorfer Schänke, a restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat. Further along the trail, at approximately 0.93 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the Waitzdorfer Höhe peak, providing panoramic views of the area.

Along the way, you'll also encounter various facilities such as benches and viewpoints where you can rest and appreciate the scenery. Remember to bring an ample water supply and check the weather forecast before embarking on this hike.
