This extremely difficult 13.425-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through the beautiful area surrounding Ochsenriedel. With an elevation gain of 810 meters, this hike is not for the faint of heart.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Weitmoser Schlossalm restaurant after hiking approximately 5.52 kilometers. This is a great spot to refuel and enjoy some local cuisine. Further along the trail, at about 1.14 kilometers from the start, you will find the Hochberg information point, where you can learn more about the area.
Continuing on, at the 0.4-kilometer mark, you will reach the Angertal information point, providing you with more insights about your surroundings. As you trek towards the peak, Ochsenriedel, located 6.3 kilometers from the start, you will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views.
Make sure to stay hydrated by stopping at the Wirth Bründl spring around the 2.6-kilometer mark. Additionally, there are benches at 1.12 kilometers into the hike where you can take a break and soak in the scenery.
For those looking to grab a bite to eat, the Lackenbauer restaurant is situated around 0.29 kilometers from the start. This is another excellent spot to rest and recharge before continuing your adventure.
