Welcome to the hiking route to Homad, an extremely difficult but rewarding trail that spans 12.403 kilometers with an elevation gain of 677 meters. The trail is a circular route that will take approximately 4 hours and 33 minutes to complete.
Starting at the parking area, you will pass by the Skilift Gurnigel Wasserscheide restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat before beginning your adventure. As you make your way along the trail, you will come across the Klettersteig Gantrisch via ferrata, offering a thrilling climbing experience at 2.34 kilometers from the start.
Midway through the hike, you will reach the Schwalmere saddle, providing a stunning viewpoint to rest and take in the scenery. Continuing on, you will encounter various peaks such as Chrummenfadenflüe, Nünenenflue, Homad, and Stubeflue, each offering unique perspectives of the surrounding landscape.
Along the trail, you will also find amenities such as Obernünene restaurant, Obernünenen information point, and Schiterwang and Hohmad information points providing helpful insights into the area.
