Welcome to the Homad hiking route!
This 12.403-kilometer extremely difficult circular trail offers stunning views and a challenging hike in the Gantrisch region. The trail has an elevation gain of 677.0 meters, so be prepared for a challenging trek.
As you start your journey, you'll come across the Skilift Gurnigel Wasserscheide restaurant, a great spot to grab a bite before heading out. Further along the trail, you'll encounter the Klettersteig Gantrisch via ferrata at 2.34 kilometers from the start. This is a thrilling climbing route that adds an adventurous element to your hike.
As you continue on, you'll pass by various peaks such as Chrummenfadenflüe, Nünenenflue, Homad, and Stubeflue. Each peak offers unique panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, making the effort worth it.
Midway through the hike, you'll reach Obernünene, where you can take a break and replenish your water supply. Remember to bring enough water and snacks for the journey, as this is a strenuous hike.
Near the end of the trail, you'll come across the Gürbefall waterfall, a beautiful natural attraction to admire before completing your hike back to the starting point.
Before embarking on this adventure, make sure to check the weather forecast and wear appropriate hiking gear. This route is not recommended for beginners due to its length and challenging terrain.
