This extremely difficult 13.53-kilometer out-and-back hiking route in the Niwen area offers a challenging adventure for experienced hikers. The trail begins at Goppenstein, where you can find parking facilities nearby. Make sure to bring plenty of water, as the route features an elevation gain of 1487 meters.

As you embark on the journey, you will pass by the refreshing Lonza water source at a distance of 0.03 kilometers from the start. Approximately 3.1 kilometers into the hike, you will encounter a drinking water point for a quick rehydration stop.

Further along the trail, at the 6.77 kilometer mark, you will reach the peaks of Einigs Alichji (Niwen) and Niwen, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. These points provide a great opportunity to take a break and admire the natural beauty of the area.
