Welcome to the hiking route to Fuente del Cortijo de los Prados in Alpujarra de la Sierra. This moderate 5.11-kilometer out-and-back trail offers a wonderful opportunity to explore the beautiful natural surroundings while enjoying some historical and cultural points of interest along the way.
Starting off, you will find convenient parking at the beginning of the trail. As you make your way, you'll come across several water sources, like Fuente Alto del Lugar, Fuente los Tres Caños, and Fuente Las Piedras, which are perfect spots to refill your water bottle and take a short break.
Further along the trail, you'll pass by the historic ruins of Molino El Nacimiento, adding a touch of heritage to your hike. For those looking to grab a bite to eat, Meson Ceci and La Almunia de la Alpujarra are great options at the beginning of the trail.
As you continue hiking, you'll encounter more water points and the stunning Fuente del Cortijo de los Prados at the end of the trail. This refreshing spring is a perfect turnaround point before heading back.
