This extremely difficult hiking route will take you to the stunning Hochschober area. The trail is an out-and-back type, spanning a distance of 14.292 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1515 meters. The estimated duration for the hike is approximately 7 hours.

Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will pass by the Schoberlacke, a picturesque water feature located 5.19 kilometers from the start. As you continue your journey, approximately 4.1 kilometers in, you will reach the Hochschoberhütte, a restaurant and alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy some refreshments.

Further along the trail, at around 7.15 kilometers from the start, you will find the peak of Hochschober offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Additionally, midway through the hike, you will come across the Kreuz wayside cross located 3.07 kilometers from the start.

For those in need of some hydration, the Sophien Brundl drinking water point is situated 3.8 kilometers from the start. Make sure to refill your water bottles here before continuing on your journey.

Towards the end of the trail, at approximately 6.47 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Staniskascharte saddle, marking a significant point on the route.
