This hiking route will take you to the stunning Rauchkofel peak in the picturesque area of Schreinsee - Lago della Palizzata. The trail spans a total distance of 14.087 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1235.0 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that will challenge even experienced hikers.
As you make your way along the trail, you will encounter several points of interest. Approximately 5.83 kilometers from the start, you will come across the tranquil Schreinsee - Lago della Palizzata, a beautiful water feature perfect for a serene break. Further along at 6.87 kilometers, you will reach the Klausscharte saddle offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Additionally, at 1.23 kilometers, the Schlafhäuser viewpoint provides a perfect spot to rest and take in the panoramic vistas.
The highlight of the hike is reaching the Rauchkofel peak at 7.04 kilometers, where you can enjoy sweeping views from the summit. Along the way, you will also pass by convenient amenities such as a parking area at the trailhead and informational signboards 4.26 kilometers into the hike.
