This hiking route takes you through a picturesque area with stunning views and varied terrain. The route is circular, starting and ending at the Wanderhütte am Maßkopf.

As you begin your hike, make sure to stop by the parking area at Am Sportplatz, located just 12 meters from the trail. From there, you will pass by Südthüringens schönste Aussichten, a beautiful viewpoint with a bench where you can take in the scenery.

Midway through the hike, you will reach Maßkopf, a peak with an elevation gain of 192 meters. This is a great spot to rest and enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding area. Nearby, you can also visit the Maßkopf Alpine Hut for a relaxing break.

Further along the trail, you will come across Waldgasthaus Maßkopf, a restaurant where you can refuel and recharge before continuing your journey. Make sure to check their opening hours before planning your stop.

Towards the end of the hike, you will pass by a information point and another bench for a final rest before reaching the starting point again.

This route covers a distance of approximately 3.049 kilometers and has an elevation gain of 192 meters, making it suitable for hikers of all levels.
