This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Via Santa Maria. You will start your journey at the parking area, which is just a short distance from the trail. As you make your way along the trail, you will come across Pozza di Magazzo, a lovely water feature that is a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy the scenery. Further along the trail, you will find a picnic site where you can stop for a meal before continuing your hike.
About halfway through your hike, you will reach Rifugio Alpino Gruppo di Polaveno, an alpine hut where you can rest and refuel for the journey back. Along the trail, you will also come across various viewpoints, artwork, information points, and drinking water stations to enhance your hiking experience.
The total distance of this out-and-back route is approximately 4.986 kilometers, with an elevation gain of 516 meters, making it a difficult hike that is suitable for experienced hikers.
