This extremely difficult 15.7-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through the breathtaking alpine landscape of Hochleitenspitz - Punta Alta.

Starting from the trailhead, you'll first encounter Yak & Yeti, a restaurant located just 0.02 kilometers from the start point, where you can fuel up before beginning your challenging journey. As you continue along the trail, you'll pass by the Tabarettahütte - Rifugio Tabaretta alpine hut at the 4.55-kilometer mark, offering a cozy resting place with stunning views.

Further on, at the 6.09-kilometer point, you'll reach Bärenkopfscharte - Forcella dell'Orso, a beautiful natural saddle where you can take in the surrounding scenery. Be sure to stay hydrated as you hike, and take breaks as needed to enjoy the views.

As you approach the 7.13-kilometer mark, you'll reach the Hochleitenjoch - Forcella Punta Alta saddle and shortly after the Hochleitenspitz - Punta Alta peak at 7.57 kilometers. These high points offer panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, rewarding your challenging ascent.

Along the way back, you'll pass by several natural rock formations, with some noteworthy landmarks like Bärenköpfl - Monte dell'Orso at the 6.71-kilometer mark, adding to the scenic beauty of the route.
