This extremely difficult hiking route will take you to Cime Borgonio, a challenging peak in a beautiful alpine setting. The trail is an out-and-back route with a total distance of 12.48 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1183 meters.
You will start your journey at a parking area, which is conveniently located at the beginning of the trail. As you make your way along the route, you will come across several points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will find Rifugio Alfredo Talarico, an alpine hut where you can rest and refuel. Further along, at the midway point, you will reach Abri du Pas de Vens, a shelter that offers a cozy spot to take a break.
As you continue hiking, you will encounter a spring, which will provide a refreshing stop for a quick drink of water. Closer to the peak, you will reach Pas de Vens, a saddle that offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. From here, the trail gets more challenging as you make your way to Cime Borgonio, the final destination of the hike.
Throughout the hike, be sure to bring plenty of water, as the trail is long and strenuous. It is also recommended to check the weather forecast before heading out, as alpine weather can be unpredictable.
