This challenging 7.779-kilometer out-and-back hike to Schäfiskopf offers stunning views and diverse terrain.
Starting at Zum Charly, a fast-food spot at the trailhead, hikers can grab a quick bite before embarking on their journey. The trail is well-marked, and at just 0.43 kilometers in, you'll reach Serajöchle, a beautiful saddle where you can take in the surrounding natural beauty.
As you continue, you'll pass by Löffelspitze, a prominent peak located 1.7 kilometers from the start. Furkajoch, another saddle, is situated midway through the hike at 1.7 kilometers but also accessible from the trailhead. Mutabellaspitze and Gerenspitze, two more peaks, offer panoramic views and are located 2.47 and 3.53 kilometers from the beginning, respectively.
Schäfisjoch, a saddle at 3.1 kilometers, and Schäfiskopf, the main peak at 3.89 kilometers, are the highlights of the hike. Sererfalben, another peak, is located at 0.36 kilometers from the start and offers a great vantage point.
