This extremely difficult hiking route will take you to the stunning Gitschen peak. Starting at the parking area, you'll embark on an 8.826-kilometer journey with an elevation gain of 1249 meters.

As you begin your hike, you'll come across an information point about 1.58 kilometers into the trail. This is a great spot to learn more about the area and its history. Further along, at 4.41 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the majestic Gitschen peak, offering breathtaking panoramic views.

Around the midway point, approximately 1.58 kilometers in, you'll find the Geisshittae alpine hut. This is a perfect place to take a rest and enjoy some refreshments before continuing your challenging ascent.

Throughout the trail, you'll also encounter several information points and a bench for resting. Remember to bring plenty of water, snacks, and appropriate hiking gear for this demanding route. It's crucial to check the weather forecast before setting off.
