This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Zinkwand on the Giglach-Höhenweg trail. The total distance of the hike is 13.314 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1275.0 meters, making it a challenging adventure for experienced hikers.
Starting at Eschachparkplatz, you will find parking facilities at the beginning of the trail. As you trek along the path, you will encounter several points of interest. At 4.54 kilometers from the start, you will come across a water source, providing a refreshing break along the way. Continuing on, at 6.05 kilometers, you will reach the peak of Zinkwand, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Along the trail, you will also find Neualm, a shelter for hikers, at 2.92 kilometers from the start, and the Eschachhüttn restaurant at 0.06 kilometers, where you can refuel with delicious meals. Additionally, Keinprechthütte, an alpine hut, sits at 4.7 kilometers along the route, providing accommodation for those looking to extend their stay.
