Welcome to the hiking route to Pico de Abantos!

Located in the beautiful natural surroundings of Abantos peak, this circular route offers a 4.936 kilometers trail with an elevation gain of 145 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all levels of hikers. The estimated duration of the hike is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Starting off at the trailhead, you will come across a convenient parking area to leave your vehicle before embarking on the journey. As you make your way along the path, you will encounter several points of interest along the route. About 1.83 kilometers from the start, you will find the "Fuente del Cervunal," a drinking water fountain where you can replenish your water supply. Further along the trail, at 2.31 kilometers from the start, you will reach the "Cruz del Abantos," a historic wayside cross that provides a glimpse into the area's cultural heritage.

Midway through the hike, at the same distance from the start, you will encounter two peaks, "Abantos" and "Pico de Abantos," offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Additionally, at 0.55 kilometers from the start, you can enjoy the breathtaking view from the "Cruz del Despeñadero" viewpoint.
