Welcome to the hiking route to Macesnovec!

This extremely difficult out-and-back trail spans over 24.245 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1114.0 meters, making it a challenging yet rewarding adventure. The trail starts in a picturesque area surrounded by natural beauty and serene landscapes.

As you embark on your journey, you will come across several points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, there is a convenient parking area for hikers to leave their vehicles. Approximately 4.43 kilometers into the hike, you will reach Kosmačev preval, a scenic saddle offering stunning views of the surrounding area.

At around 12.12 kilometers into the hike, you will encounter Macesnovec, a prominent peak that provides a perfect spot to rest and take in the breathtaking scenery. Nearby, there is Kovinarska koča, an alpine hut where hikers can take a break and refuel before continuing their trek.

Further along the trail, at approximately 10.25 kilometers in, you will find Pri studencu, a refreshing spring where you can replenish your water supply. As you make your way back, be sure to stop by Stan peak at 11.06 kilometers – another notable point of interest along the route.

Throughout the hike, there are several information points offering valuable insights into the area and its surroundings. Remember to bring an ample water supply, wear appropriate hiking gear, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging adventure.
