This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with diverse points of interest along the way. Starting at the parking area, you will begin your journey towards the Ruine Wolkenstein castle, which is about 1 km away from the start. As you continue on, you will pass by the Restaurant Bacchus, where you can grab a bite to eat and refuel for the rest of your hike.

Further along the trail, at a distance of 1 km from the start, you will reach the Wulchestei viewpoint, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. This is a great spot to take a break, snap some photos, and admire the scenery.

As you make your way back towards the starting point, you will come across the Brünneli drinking water fountain, where you can quench your thirst and replenish your water supply. Along the trail, you will also find benches where you can rest and take in the peaceful surroundings.

This out-and-back route covers a total distance of 2.7 km with an elevation gain of 143 meters. The duration of the hike is approximately 46 minutes, but this may vary depending on your pace and how long you spend at each point of interest.

Hikers are advised to bring an adequate supply of water, wear sturdy hiking shoes, and check the weather forecast before setting out. The trail is of moderate difficulty due to its length and elevation gain, so make sure to pace yourself and take breaks as needed.
