This challenging out-and-back hiking route takes you to the breathtaking Alpschelenhubel in the Allmenalp region. The 8.253-kilometer trail has an elevation gain of 610 meters and is estimated to take about 3 hours and 26 minutes to complete.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by the Bergrestaurant Lohner, a cozy restaurant located right at the beginning of the trail where you can fuel up before your adventure. Further along the route, about midway through, you'll find the Alpschelenhubel viewpoint, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding Alps.
For the more adventurous hikers, there are two climbing areas, Klettergebiet Ueschenen, located off the main trail. These spots are perfect for rock climbing enthusiasts looking to challenge themselves with some vertical ascents.
