This challenging hike will take you to the stunning Monte Federici area. The route is an out-and-back trail with a total distance of 9.554 kilometers and an elevation gain of 881 meters, making it a difficult trek that will take approximately 4 hours and 24 minutes to complete.
As you start your hike, you will come across a parking area conveniently located at the beginning of the trail. The trail then leads you to Passo Alarola, a beautiful saddle located 2.1 kilometers from the starting point. Enjoy the breathtaking views as you continue on to Monte Alarola and Monte Alarola, both prominent peaks along the route.
Midway through the hike, you will find the wilderness hut Bivacco Oriente (Matale), a perfect spot to take a break and refuel before continuing on your journey. Along the way, you will also come across informative signposts to enhance your hiking experience.
