Located in a breathtaking natural setting, this challenging hiking route spans a total distance of 8.649 kilometers with an elevation gain of 620 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding trek for experienced hikers.

Starting at the trailhead, hikers will come across convenient parking areas at the beginning of the route. As you make your way along the trail, you will encounter the picturesque Balmer Grätli saddle at around 1.66 kilometers from the start, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Continuing onwards, the trail leads to the Glatten peak at approximately 4.32 kilometers, where you can marvel at the scenic vistas and enjoy a well-deserved rest. Along the way, you will also pass by Hotel Klausenpass, located 0.03 kilometers off the trail, providing a potential pit stop for refreshments and information about the area.

For hikers in need of hydration, a drinking water station is conveniently situated right on the trail at the beginning of the route, ensuring you stay refreshed throughout your journey.

As an out-and-back trail, hikers will retrace their steps on the return leg, taking in all the stunning sights once more. It is advisable to bring an ample supply of water, snacks, and to check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging hike.
