This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of "In der Heide". The trail is 3.231 kilometers long with no elevation gain, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.

As you start your journey, you will come across the "Wanderparkplatz Grotenrath" parking area, located just 6.44 meters from the trail. Further along, at the beginning of the trail, you will find a wayside cross, a historic site that adds a touch of culture to your hike.

Around 0.32 kilometers into the hike, you will spot a water feature, followed by another at 1.03 kilometers into the trail. These natural water features offer a peaceful and serene setting for a rest stop. You will also find shelters and information points along the way, providing useful insights about the surroundings.

As you reach the 0.67-kilometer mark, you will encounter the "Römerwall" archaeological site, offering a glimpse into the area's historical significance. Further ahead, at 1.14 kilometers, you will reach a geological exposure point and another section of the "Römerwall", adding depth to your hiking experience.

Throughout the hike, benches are placed at convenient intervals for you to take a break and enjoy the surrounding nature. Additionally, a viewpoint awaits you at 1.22 kilometers, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of the area.
