This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Quarzina, offering stunning views and a variety of points of interest along the way. The trail is 7.641 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 455 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Monumento all'Alpino, a historic monument located just 0.07 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. Further along, at 2.02 kilometers into the hike, you will reach Rifugio Chionea, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings.
Throughout the hike, you will find several drinking water stations conveniently located along the trail for refreshment. Additionally, at the Colle di Chionea, a natural saddle 2.9 kilometers into the hike, you can take in the breathtaking views of the area.
For those interested in learning more about the area, the Ufficio Turistico Ormea, an information center, is situated just 0.02 kilometers from the start of the trail. Along the way, you will also find various other information points providing insight into the surroundings.
As you make your way back, consider stopping by the Pizzeria La Via del Sale, a restaurant located at the beginning of the trail, or the Bar da Gemma for a quick snack or drink.
