This hiking route takes you to the beautiful area surrounding Katzenstein in Nordrach. The trail is 4.108 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 290 meters, making it a moderate difficulty hike that will take approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes to complete.

As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area conveniently located at the beginning of the trail. Feel free to leave your vehicle here and begin your adventure on foot. Just a short distance away, you will find a water source perfect for refilling your bottles before continuing on the trail.

Around the 1.74 kilometer mark, you will reach the Lärchenhütte shelter, where you can take a break and enjoy some refreshments at the Hotel und Gasthaus Stube restaurant nearby. Further along the trail, at the 2.05 kilometer mark, you will encounter the Katzenstein viewpoint, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

For history enthusiasts, there are several historic sites along the way, including the Bildstock Karl Erdrich wayside shrine and the Bildstock Josef Erdrich wayside shrine. These add an interesting cultural element to your hiking experience.

As you reach the turnaround point, be sure to stop by the information point at the Touristen-Information Nordrach for any additional insights about the area. On your way back, take a moment to relax at the s'Blaue Hus cafe before concluding your hike.
