Welcome to the hiking route to Cristo del Corcovado in Rio de Janeiro. This challenging out-and-back trail covers a distance of 7.686 kilometers with an elevation gain of 651 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.

The trail starts at the parking area, approximately 3.65 kilometers from the beginning. From there, you will pass by a viewpoint at 3.84 kilometers, offering a stunning vantage point along the route. Continuing on, at 3.78 kilometers, there is a restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat before tackling the rest of the trail.

As you hike, you will come across various water sources to refill your bottles, with the closest one being only 0.21 kilometers from the start. Another noteworthy water site is Lago das Fadas, located 0.29 kilometers away from the trail.

For those interested in peak views, make sure to check out Corcovado at 3.8 kilometers. Additionally, Pedra do Sapo is reachable at a distance of 2.35 kilometers, although it is not directly on the trail.

Before starting the hike, ensure you have enough water and snacks, as well as checking the weather forecast. The trail offers a mix of terrain and stunning natural scenery, including waterfalls and the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue at 3.84 kilometers.
