This extremely difficult hiking route covers a distance of 17.847 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1370.0 meters, taking approximately 7 hours and 33 minutes to complete. The trail is an out-and-back type, starting at the parking area where there may be a fee.

As you begin your journey, you'll pass by Lamar, a campsite located just 0.93 kilometers from the start. Further along the trail at 0.9 kilometers in, you'll find Agritur Le Vallene, a restaurant offering sustenance for hikers. Along the way, you'll also come across Sant'Antonio, a wayside shrine situated 5.23 kilometers from the start.

Midway through your hike at around 8.21 kilometers, a bench known as La Roda will provide a place to rest and take in the natural surroundings. Additionally, you can replenish your water supply at Acqua de Val, located 4.11 kilometers from the start.

As you near the end of the hike, at approximately 8.92 kilometers, you'll encounter a viewpoint offering stunning vistas of the area. Keep an eye out for the ruins at 1.58 kilometers from the start, adding a touch of historic charm to your adventure.
