This extremely difficult 12.225-kilometer hike to Monte Sernio offers breathtaking views and challenging terrain for experienced hikers.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by an alpine hut, Rifugio Grauzaria, located 2.53 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. This is a great spot to rest and take in the surrounding beauty before continuing on.
As you make your way up the trail, you will come across a natural spring, perfect for refilling your water supply at the 0.6-kilometer mark. Further along, at 2.53 kilometers from the start, you will find a drinking water station to replenish your water before the more strenuous part of the hike.
At the midway point, approximately 6.11 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Monte Sernio. The panoramic views from this vantage point are well worth the effort it took to get there.
On your return journey, you will encounter the Foran da la Gjialine saddle at 3.68 kilometers from the start and the Torre Ivano peak at 5.26 kilometers from the start. These landmarks offer unique viewpoints and photo opportunities to capture the beauty of the surrounding landscape.
