This hiking route takes you through the stunning natural beauty of Bassa Nova. The trail is a circular route with a distance of approximately 13 kilometers and an elevation gain of 317 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that will challenge even experienced hikers.
As you start your journey, you'll come across a parking area at the beginning of the trail. It's important to start early and bring plenty of water as there are limited water sources along the way. About 6.33 kilometers into the hike, you'll reach Bassa Nova, a beautiful water feature where you can take a break and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Continuing on, you'll encounter Penya Grossa, a peak that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. This peak is located approximately 2.19 kilometers from the start of the trail. Further along, at around 4.21 kilometers from the start, you'll come across Font de l'Alficosset, a refreshing spring where you can refill your water bottle.
Midway through the hike, at approximately 4.58 kilometers from the start, you'll reach la Mola, another peak that offers panoramic views of the area. Take some time to rest and take in the scenery before continuing on.
Towards the end of the hike, at about 4.82 kilometers from the start, you'll pass by Poblado de la Edad de Bronce de La Mola, a historic Bronze Age settlement. This is a great opportunity to learn about the area's rich history and culture.
