This extremely difficult 16.11 km out-and-back hiking route on the GC-604 trail offers a challenging but rewarding experience for experienced hikers. The trail starts at the parking area near Degollada de los Tres Pinos, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding area. As you make your way along the trail, you will come across several water sources that are perfect for refilling your water supply. These water sources are located at varying distances from the trail, with the closest one being just 1.46 km from the start.
Midway through the hike, at around 2.25 km from the start, you will reach Montaña de los Palmitos, a prominent peak that offers stunning views of the landscape below. Further along the trail, at 5.57 km from the start, you will encounter Montañón del Andén Quemado, another peak worth exploring.
As you continue on the trail, you will pass by Cima Pedro Gonzalez, a viewpoint located right on the trail at the beginning of the hike. This viewpoint provides a perfect spot to rest and take in the surrounding scenery. Another noteworthy point of interest along the trail is the PR GC40 information point, located just 0.01 km from the start.
