The Eselsbergweg is located in a picturesque area with stunning views and beautiful nature. This circular route covers a distance of 4.607 kilometers with an elevation gain of 195 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels. As you begin your hike, you will come across the Erster Kehrrang parking area, located right at the start of the trail. Around 0.21 kilometers into the hike, you'll find a bench where you can take a moment to rest and take in the scenery. Further along the trail, at 1.63 kilometers, there is a lovely picnic site where you can stop for a snack or a peaceful break.
Around the midway point of the hike, at 2.16 kilometers, you'll reach a viewpoint that offers panoramic views of the area. This is a great spot to take some photos and enjoy the beauty of the landscape. Nearby, but not directly on the trail, is the peak called Hohe Waid, which you can reach with a short detour.
As you continue on, you'll encounter various facilities such as benches, shelters, and informational points scattered along the trail. These provide opportunities to take a break, learn more about the area, or simply appreciate the surroundings.
