This hiking route will take you through a beautiful mountainous area with stunning views and challenging terrain. The trail is an out-and-back type, leading you to the peak of Galehorn. The total distance of the hike is approximately 10.5 kilometers with an elevation gain of 946 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take about 4 hours and 47 minutes to complete.
Starting at the parking area at the trailhead, you will first pass by a picturesque waterfall, located 2.43 kilometers from the start. As you continue on, you will come across Sirwoltesee, a serene alpine lake situated 2.9 kilometers into the hike. Further along the trail at 3.16 kilometers, you will encounter another beautiful spot called Sirwolte Weiher.
Midway through the hike, at 4.21 kilometers, you will find a water source to refill your bottles and take a break. Shortly after, at 4.38 kilometers, there is another water spot before reaching Sirwoltesattel, a scenic saddle point located at 4.51 kilometers.
The highlight of the hike is reaching the summit of Galehorn at 5.24 kilometers, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. The challenging terrain and steep elevation gain make this section of the hike rewarding for experienced hikers.
