Welcome to the hiking route to Sabotino / Sabotin! This trail is located in a beautiful area with stunning views and historical significance. The route is an out-and-back type, totaling 1.585 kilometers with an elevation gain of 34 meters, making it a super easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Dom na Sabotinu parking area, just 15 meters from the trailhead. About midway through the hike, at 0.36 kilometers, you will find the Dom na Sabotinu restaurant, perfect for a pit stop and refueling before continuing on.
At 0.66 kilometers into the hike, you will spot a historic monument just 4.5 meters off the trail. This provides a great opportunity to learn about the area's rich history. As you reach the peak of Sabotino / Sabotin at 0.79 kilometers, you will have a breathtaking panoramic view of the surroundings.
Along the way, there are various viewpoints and informational stops, such as the Sabotin - soška fronta battlefield at 0.37 kilometers and a bench facility at 0.63 kilometers. These points offer insight into the area's past and provide a chance to relax and take in the scenery.
