This challenging hiking route to Monte Cazzola offers stunning views and varied terrain. Starting at Alpe Devero, you'll pass by several points of interest along the 8.489-kilometer trail.
At the beginning of the hike, you'll find a convenient parking area at Alpe Devero. As you continue, you'll come across a drinking water station about 0.4 kilometers into the hike, perfect for refilling your water bottle. A map of the National Park and an information point are located nearby at 0.23 kilometers from the start.
Further along the trail, you'll encounter additional drinking water stations, a campsite, and a tourist office, all within the first kilometer of the hike. Rest and grab a bite to eat at the Vini Bibite restaurant located 0.23 kilometers from the start.
As you make your way through the picturesque landscape, you'll pass by benches for taking a break and soaking in the surroundings. About halfway through the hike, at 4.24 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the peak of Monte Cazzola. Take in the breathtaking views before making your way back.
For those looking to extend their hike, the Rifugio Sesto Calende alpine hut offers accommodation and is located about 0.13 kilometers from the trail. You can also stop for a meal at the Bar Ristorante Alpino and the Bar Funivia along the way.
