This hiking route takes you through the picturesque area surrounding Schloßberg. The trail is a circular route with a total distance of 1.031 kilometers and an elevation gain of 34 meters, making it super easy and suitable for hikers of all levels.
As you start your journey, you will come across several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find parking facilities for your convenience. Further along the trail, approximately 0.18 kilometers from the start, you will encounter a Kneippbecken (water basin) and a Radlerrastplatz (picnic site) where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings.
Continuing on, at around 0.47 kilometers from the start, you will see the Kriegerdenkmal (memorial) for the fallen soldiers of the First World War. A little further, at approximately 0.48 kilometers, you will reach the Schloßberg peak, offering breathtaking views of the area.
For those in need of refreshment, there is a café – Feinbäckerei Wolfgang Fischer, located 0.09 kilometers from the start of the trail. Additionally, there are benches along the route for hikers to rest and take in the scenery.
As you make your way back to the starting point, you will pass by a fountain and viewpoints offering different perspectives of the landscape. Remember to bring plenty of water, wear appropriate footwear, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this enjoyable hike in the Schloßberg area.
