This extremely difficult 12.205-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through the stunning area surrounding Oltschiburg. With an elevation gain of 867.0 meters, this hike is not for the faint of heart. It's important to come prepared with plenty of water and snacks, as well as checking the weather forecast before setting out.

As you start your journey, you'll pass by the Oberer Parkplatz and several parking areas before reaching the drinking water station and a convenient bench to rest at just 0.07 kilometers into the hike. Further along the trail, you'll come across the Kurhaus / Axalp information point, offering valuable insights into the area's history and landmarks.

Midway through your adventure, you'll reach the peak of Oltschiburg, where you can take in breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Be sure to stop by the Axalp Stübli restaurant for a well-deserved break before continuing on your way.

On the way back, you'll encounter an intriguing artwork installation and another bench to relax on. Finally, as you near the end of the hike, you'll pass by the Axalp Skiberg Startplatz W-NW, a popular spot for free flying enthusiasts.
