This extremely difficult 12.205-kilometer circular hike in the Oltschiburg area offers a challenging adventure for experienced hikers. The route boasts an elevation gain of 867 meters and is estimated to take around 4 hours and 59 minutes to complete.

As you begin your journey, you will come across the Oberer Parkplatz and several parking areas along the trail, providing convenient access for hikers. Be sure to bring plenty of water and snacks as you trek through the rugged terrain.

Approximately 7 kilometers into the hike, you will reach a drinking water station and a bench where you can take a short break and enjoy the surrounding scenery. Further along the trail, you will encounter the Kurhaus/Axalp information center, offering valuable insights into the local area.

One of the highlights of the hike is the Oltschiburg peak, located 5.42 kilometers from the start. The peak offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and serves as a rewarding destination for hikers.

If you find yourself in need of sustenance, the Axalp Stübli restaurant is situated at the beginning of the trail, providing a perfect spot to refuel before continuing your adventure. Additionally, you will pass by an artwork installation, adding a touch of cultural significance to your hike.
