This extremely difficult 17.208 km out-and-back hiking route will take you to the peak of Wildgärst, offering breathtaking views along the way.
Starting at the Oberer Parkplatz, make sure to park your car in the designated area before hitting the trail. As you begin your journey, you will pass by the Kurhaus/Axalp information center, where you can gather some insights about the area.
Around 8.6 km into the hike, you will reach the peak of Wildgärst, where you can take a moment to soak in the panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes.
During your trek, you will come across a drinking water station and benches where you can rest and refuel. Remember to stay hydrated and pack enough water for the hike, as well as some snacks to keep your energy levels up.
As you make your way back, consider stopping by Axalp Stübli, a restaurant located on the trail, to enjoy a well-deserved meal and some local cuisine.
