This extremely difficult hiking route will take you on an out-and-back adventure to the peak of Wildgärst, spanning a total distance of 17.208 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1461 meters.

Starting at the Oberer Parkplatz, you will find parking facilities at the beginning of the trail. As you embark on your journey, you will come across drinking water stations and benches within the first 0.07 kilometers. Further along the trail, at a distance of 0.07 kilometers, you will find the Kurhaus / Axalp information center providing insights into the area.

Midway through your hike, at 8.6 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Wildgärst where you can immerse yourself in stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Along the way back, at 8.03 kilometers from the start, the Wart saddle offers a brief rest spot before continuing on your descent.
