Starting at the Parcheggio del Castello, you will begin your journey towards the Torre dei Prigionieri. As you set off, you'll pass by the Teatro Romano and Tempio Capitolino, ancient archaeological sites that offer a glimpse into Brescia's rich history. Continuing on, you'll find cafes like Bar Chalet Castello and Bar Cidneo where you can grab a quick bite or drink before resuming your hike.
Along the route, you'll encounter various drinking water stations to stay hydrated, as well as viewpoints such as Monumento Italiano alla Locomotiva a Vapore and Colle Cidneo where you can pause to take in the scenic surroundings.
As you approach the Torre dei Prigionieri, make sure to visit the Giuseppe Cesare Abba memorial and other historical landmarks that dot the trail. At the endpoint, the Torre dei Prigionieri awaits, offering a rewarding end to your hike.
This out-and-back trail covers a distance of 8.58 km with an elevation gain of 35 meters. While the hike is not overly challenging, it is always a good idea to come prepared with water, snacks, and to check the weather forecast before starting your journey.
