Welcome to the Holzweg hiking route! This circular route offers a 5.569 kilometers journey through beautiful nature with a moderate difficulty level.

Starting at the parking area, you will embark on your adventure. Along the trail, you will find several points of interest. Just 2.16 kilometers from the start, you will come across a water source, perfect for refilling your water bottle. Further along, at 2.55 kilometers, there is another water point close to a bench where you can take a short rest.

For those interested in history, at 2.07 kilometers into the hike, you'll find Schleuse 41, an interesting attraction worth exploring. Additionally, at 2.44 kilometers, you can visit Schleuse 42, another point of attraction along the route.

As you journey back, make sure to check out the information point at 1.89 kilometers. Here, you can learn more about the Wanderzirkus Frankenalb, providing insight into the local area and its history.

Throughout the hike, you’ll also find shelters and benches where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings. Taverne-Areti is a restaurant located just 0.31 kilometers from the start, making it a great spot to grab a meal after your adventure.
