This hike takes you to the stunning Pischenbergsee bzw. -lacke, located in a beautiful area with breathtaking views. The route is an out-and-back type, covering a distance of 11.65 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1225 meters, making it extremely difficult in terms of difficulty.
As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area right at the beginning of the trail. About 0.04 kilometers into the hike, you will pass by a restaurant called "Stegenwald" where you can grab some sustenance before continuing your adventure. Along the way, you will also spot two springs, one at 2.88 kilometers from the start and the other at 4.25 kilometers, providing refreshing natural water sources for hikers.
As you trek further, at around 1.83 kilometers into the hike, you will encounter a stunning waterfall, adding a touch of natural beauty to the surroundings. Around 4.87 kilometers into the hike, there is an information point where you can learn more about the area and its history.
Midway through the hike, at 5.83 kilometers from the start, you will reach Pischenbergsee bzw. -lacke, a picturesque lake where you can take a rest and enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings. Before reaching the endpoint, there is another information point at 0.03 kilometers from the finish, providing additional insights into the destination.
Due to the length and the steep elevation gain of the route, it is recommended to be well-prepared with proper hiking gear, sufficient water, and snacks for energy. Additionally, checking the weather forecast before heading out is essential to ensure a safe and enjoyable hiking experience.
