Welcome to the Monte Rite hiking route! This challenging 9.6-kilometer out-and-back trail offers stunning views and a variety of points of interest along the way.
Starting at the trailhead, you'll pass by the S. Maria Assunta wayside shrine and the Adrenalin Park attraction, both located near the beginning of the trail. As you continue your ascent, you'll come across the Ten. Camana Giovanni memorial and the Monte Rite peak, offering panoramic views of the surrounding area.
Midway through the hike, you'll reach the Forcella Deona saddle, where you can take a rest and enjoy the scenery. Further along the trail, you'll find the Rifugio Dolomites restaurant, perfect for refueling before heading back.
The route also includes informational points such as the Passo Cibiana and Forcella Cibiana, providing insights into the history and nature of the area. Additionally, the ex Caserma Monte Rite castle and Malga Déona alpine hut offer a glimpse into the region's past and present.
With an elevation gain of 604 meters, this hike is considered difficult and requires a good level of fitness.
