Welcome to the hiking route at Le Grappe! This moderate 2.776-kilometer out-and-back trail offers a wonderful opportunity to explore the natural beauty and historic landmarks of the area.
Starting at the parking area, you will soon come across the ruins of ancient structures that tell a story of the region's rich history. These ruins are located about 0.57 kilometers from the trailhead. As you continue on, you will also pass by more ruins, located approximately 0.54 kilometers from the start.
Further along the trail, you'll encounter Monte Mascheda and Le Grappe, two picturesque peaks that offer stunning views of the surrounding landscape. These peaks are situated at 1.13 and 1.39 kilometers from the starting point, respectively.
For a break and some sustenance, you can stop by the Black Bull restaurant, conveniently located at the beginning of the trail. Additionally, there are drinking water facilities and benches along the way to rest and rehydrate.
As you hike, be sure to visit the Büs de la Spolverina cave entrance, the wayside shrine, and the Secondo Pozzo di Monte Mascheda cave entrance, each offering a unique glimpse into the natural and historic features of the area.
Before embarking on this trail, make sure to bring plenty of water, wear sturdy hiking boots, and check the weather forecast. With an elevation gain of 286 meters, this hike provides a moderate challenge that is suitable for hikers of all levels.
