This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning views and historical sites. The trail is 5.65 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 323 meters, making it of moderate difficulty. It will take you approximately 2 hours to complete the hike.
As you start your journey, you will come across several historic wayside shrines. The first one is just 90 meters from the trailhead, followed by others at different points along the trail. These shrines provide a glimpse into the area's cultural and religious heritage.
About 1.76 kilometers into the hike, you will find a natural water source where you can refill your water bottles. Further along, at the 2.83-kilometer mark, there is another water source for your convenience.
At the 2.05-kilometer mark, you will reach Chalet - Refuge de Nant Borrant, where you can take a break and enjoy some refreshments. This alpine hut offers a cozy resting spot with a website for more information.
Throughout the trail, you will also encounter informational points, benches, and more historic sites, such as the Pont Romain. Be sure to take in the surroundings and appreciate the natural beauty and historical significance of the area.
