This hiking route takes you through a stunning area with historic sites, natural wonders, and accommodation options along the way. The total distance of the hike is 9.024 kilometers with an elevation gain of 506 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding trek.

The trail starts at a wayside shrine located just 90 meters from the beginning. As you continue on, you will come across more wayside shrines, each with its own unique charm, at various points along the trail. These historic sites add a cultural dimension to your hiking experience.

At around 1.76 kilometers from the start, you will reach a natural water feature, providing a refreshing stop to quench your thirst and take in the scenic surroundings. Further along, at 4.51 kilometers from the start, you will find the Refuge de la Balme, an alpine hut where you can rest and recharge before continuing your journey.

Continuing on, you will encounter more points of interest such as drinking water stations, information points, benches, and more wayside shrines. At 2.05 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the Chalet - Refuge de Nant Borrant, another accommodation option for hikers looking to spend the night in the mountains.
